Creating Movement

My example for last nights class on depicting movement in drawing.

Drawing is both quantifiable and unquantifiable (logic and instinct) the expression in this drawing comes from movement in the body when drawing and soft flowing lines that lead the eye on a journey through the picture.

Amateur artists get too caught up in accuracy and fine detail, forgetting that it is the feeling and impression of the picture that it most important.
