Saturated Colour

Saturated colour is how intense the depth of a colour is. It refers to intense feeling colours with strong pigmentation in their pure form.

in terms of landscape, bright, strong light will saturate colours to make everything seem more vivid

In colour intensity. ( picture 2)

This is in opposition to soft dull light ( picture 2 ) which gives landscape a soft infused sense of colour. look at the following two painting examples that illustrate this.

To try this out take a photograph of anything and use your edit tool on your phone to decrease or increase the saturation of the picture. You will then be able to recognise photos ( also often gardening programs ) that has been given an extra dose of saturation.
